Monday Night Insight Week 9 - 2021 Fantasy Football
Chicago Bears vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Bears Fantasy Insight
Justin Fields is coming off a career game of nearly 25 fantasy points, but don’t let it fool you. He’s someone you want to avoid in both 1QB and Superflex leagues. Seven of nine games this year he’s finished with less than double digit points. The Steelers defense is very good and will make it hard for Fields to succeed.
David Montgomery is officially active for the first time since Week 4. Damien Williams is out with a knee injury, so Montgomery and Khalil Herbert will lead the backfield. I expect Montgomery to be a RB2 this week and for him to get the majority of the work. Herbert will take a backup role. He’s a low-end flex play since we don’t know exactly the usage he’ll be seeing going forward.
Allen Robinson (WR67) and Darnell Mooney (WR43) are both options I’m benching. Mooney is an emergency start, but ARob can’t be trusted at all in fantasy this season. Similarly to the wideouts, the tight ends in Cole Kmet, Jimmy Graham and Jesse James should also remain on your bench. Better yet, they should probably be on your waiver wire.
I’m going to continue the benching trend with kicker Cairo Santos and the Bears D/ST.
Steelers Fantasy Insight
Big Ben Roethlisberger is only an emergency start if you're suffering from injuries, COVID or BYE weeks. The QB28 has yet to put up over 16 fantasy points in a week so far this year.
Fire up Najee Harris and no other Steelers running back this week. Harris as always has top 5 running back potential on the week.
Diontae Johnson has been a target machine this season outside of one week. He’s going to be a high-end WR2 or low-end WR1 this week against the Bears. Johnson is someone I want in my lineup regardless of the matchup. Chase Claypool is inconsistent, and for that reason, he’s a flex option in Week 9. Eric Ebron is a bench player, while Pat Freiermuth is an intriguing tight end option against the Bears. After seeing seven targets in the past two weeks, Big Ben has found chemistry with Freiermuth.
Opposite to the Bears kicker and D/ST, I’m making sure I have both Chris Boswell and the Steelers D/ST starting for my fantasy teams.
