Monday Night Insight Week 13 - 2021 Fantasy Football

New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills

Patriots Fantasy Insight

Mac Jones has been playing some great football recently, but it hasn’t led to a ton of fantasy football production. Last week was his second best fantasy week to date. He’s gone against quite a few easy pass defenses. In the two games he’s played top tier defenses he scored 11 points against the Chargers and 6 points against the Panthers. The Bills are another tall task as their defense has shut down opposing quarterbacks. I see Jones as a high-end QB2. He should only be started in Superflex formats.

The Patriots work Damien Harris, Rhamondre Stevenson and Brandon Bolden into the lineup throughout the game. Harris is usually the 1st and 2nd down back, while Bolden is the main 3rd down back who gets the target out of this backfield. Stevenson is worked into both with no true role set for him. The Bills run defense is known to shut down opposing running backs so the main way I see any of these guys producing is if they fall into the endzone. Stevenson is actually my favorite back to start this week, but they're all low-end flex options, though Bolden is an emergency start.

As I don't expect much from Mac Jones. Similarly, I don't expect much from the New England wideouts. Kendrick Bourne and Jakobi Meyers will both finish as WR4s on the week while Nelson Agholor will have a long TD, maybe two. He should be the guy you want in your lineup. Don't be surprised if he finished as a WR2 this week.

I'm sitting the 1st overall Patriots D/ST in Week 13 as the Bills offense is one of the best in the league. It's going to be a great game, but I don't want to have to bet against Josh Allen. Nick Folk is a strong start this week as he also ranks 1st overall for his position. The Patriots should have a hard time finding the endzone which should lead to a good amount of field goals.

Bills Fantasy Insight

Josh Allen is currently the QB1 overall, but he’s going up against a Patriots defense that has terrorized quarterbacks. He won’t finish as the QB1 this week, but he should still finish as the fifth or sixth quarterback. He’s a must start in all leagues.

Don't start any Bills running back this week. Devin Singletary, Zach Moss and Matt Breida are all subpar talents in a crowded backfield against a great Patriots defense.

Stefon Diggs will finish as a high-end WR2 considering he'll draw the most coverage from that shut down New England secondary. He'll still get the targets to have a solid performance. Both Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders are risky, but I think Beasley will be the biggest beneficiary. Expect Allen to throw a lot of balls underneath to Beasley. It should be a double digit target day for him. Sanders in an emergency start for me at this point.

I'm playing the 3rd overall D/ST the Bills have. They've been a force so far this season and should give the rookie some trouble. I expect a couple turnovers for them this game. Tyler Bass is always a start and is matchup proof.
