Monday Night Insight Week 8 - 2021 Fantasy Football

New York Giants vs. Kansas City Chiefs

November 1st, 2021 at 8:15PM EST

Giants Fantasy Insight

Daniel Jones should have one of his best games of the season against a terrible Kansas City defense. I’m starting him in both Superflex and 1QB leagues with the utmost confidence.

Saquon was questionable heading into Monday’s game, but was officially ruled out. With him out, Devontae Booker is an intriguing start in your flex against a terrible Chiefs defense. I’d expect a solid outing from Booker in Week 8.

As you can tell, I’m not a fan of the Chiefs defense, so the pass catchers for the Giants may be more streamable than most weeks. Unfortunately, New York has been experiencing a lot of injuries in their wide receiver room. Kadarius Toney, Sterling Shepard, Kenny Golladay and Evan Engram are all questionable ahead of the Monday Night matchup. Golladay has been ruled out. The remaining three players are flex options if they are cleared to play. Outside of them, Darius Slayton is the next best option if one or two of those guys are out Monday. I hope most of these guys are healthy for this juicy matchup, but you have to work with what you got.

The Giants D/ST is a must bench in this matchup, while Graham Gano is a must start. He’s currently the 6th ranked kicker and should have plenty of opportunities to put up big numbers in Week 8.

Chiefs Fantasy Insight

Patrick Mahomes is coming off his worst fantasy performance in his five year career but it’s not time to freak out and bench him. He’s still a top 3 quarterback. Back in Week 1, after Aaron Rodgers played terribly, he bounced back and has been playing phenomenal. I expect much of the same from Mahomes. Start him without hesitation.

With the Giants’ run defense being below average, I’m confidently putting Darrel Williams in my flex spot. Jerick McKinnon isn’t an emergency start and should probably be on your waiver wire.

Tyreek Hill has been Boom or Blah, but he has a great opportunity here in Week 8 to have one of those big games that can win your team a week. Mecole Hardman is the only other wide receiver I’d think about starting from Kansas City. He’s a low-end flex player. Travis Kelce on the other hand is primed for a big game as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he finished as THE TE1 this week.

The Chiefs D/ST should be on everyone's waivers. Harrison Butker is another guy who should probably be on your waivers. If he isn’t, he should be on your bench this week unless you need to stream a kicker.
