Monday Night Insight Week 12 - 2021 Fantasy Football

Seattle Seahawks vs. Washington Football Team

Seahawks Fantasy Insight

Russell Wilson has been brutal since the return from his finger injury. He’s scored 12 fantasy points in the past two weeks combined. He’s so talented when healthy and is bound to have a game where he cooks. This is a favorable matchup, so I would bet on this being the week he puts up QB1 numbers.

I don’t want any part of this Seattle run offense. Alex Collins and DeeJay Dallas are both bench players for me. If I had to choose, Collins would be my choice as an emergency start.

Since I believe this will be Russ’s breakout game, I’m all for starting Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. Expect them to finish as WR2’s at worst. Other receivers are mostly touchdown dependent and can’t be trusted. Gerald Everett is a tight end who I could see having a solid game putting up mid TE1 numbers in Week 12. He’s a great start in my opinion.

Both the Seahawks D/ST and Jason Myers have been some of the worst options to have at their positions. Sit them both this week.

Football Team Fantasy Insight

Taylor Heinicke has a tough matchup against the Seahawks defense but he's got a rushing upside that keeps his floor high. He's going to be a low-end QB1 or high-end QB2 this week. I'd want to avoid him as best I can in 1QB leagues but start him for sure in Superflex formats.

Antonio Gibson is a very talented back who's not been seeing the workload needed to be a consistent fantasy option. He's got RB1 upside but an RB3/4 floor. I view him right in the middle, as a RB2 in Week 12. The Seattle run defense is not good which makes success for Gibson this week much more achievable. J.D. McKissic will probably see 5 or 6 targets which will make him a solid flex piece for your rosters. Jaret Patterson should remain on your bench.

The pass catching options are unreliable outside of Terry McLaurin and Logan Thomas. Scary Terry is a must start and is matchup proof. Thomas on the other hand is coming off injury so I'd assume they ease him back into playing time. I don't like him much this week, though I love his outlook for the rest of the season.

Sit the Washington D/ST and Joey Slye. Similar to the Seahawks, these are poor options for their individual positions.
