Broncos Fantasy Insight
Teddy Bridgewater hurt his foot last week against the Raiders and was caught limping. He’s questionable heading into Week 7, but expect him to play. I’m not starting him in 1QB leagues, but I’m also extremely hesitant to start him in Superflex formats. The Browns offense is very banged up, but their defense will still be extremely strong without Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah being out with injury. The only way I’m starting him is if I’m desperate at quarterback.
Both Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams are low-end flex options against this top tier Browns run defense. They’ve just been dipping into each other's production. I’m not excited to start either, but I’d be willing to fill them with those on BYEs or injuries.
There’s a 50% chance that Jerry Jeudy comes back this week, so him being available plays a role in the other wideout’s value this week. If he’s back, Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick are in flex consideration since I’d expect Jeudy to be eased back into the game plan. If he’s out, Sutton is a WR2 and Patrick is still a flex option. Jeudy would be a flex play if you have no one else to plug in. Noah Fant is a plug and play as he’s going to have a solid week against the Browns.
Brandon McManus is the 10th overall kicker and is a low-end K1 play this week. The Broncos D/ST is 8th overall and is playing a very banged up Browns team with a backup quarterback starting. Play them this week and reap the benefits.
Browns Fantasy Insight
Baker Mayfield is officially out for Thursday’s game, so Case Keenum will be the starter. He will be on my bench in Superflex and waivers in 1QB leagues.
Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt are also out. D’Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton will fill those roles, but they are only startable if you have a huge need to fill your flex spots. I prefer Felton over Johnson, but they’re neck and neck in value for Week 7.
Jarvis Landry has a chance to play, but he’s not someone I want to start even if he plays because he’s coming off injury with a backup quarterback. Odell Beckham Jr. is a flex play; Donovan Peoples-Jones is a low-end flex, but I’d rather have him on my bench. Keenum really hurts the value of these pass catchers. Austin Hooper and David Njoku are backup tight end starters if your TE1 is on bye or injured.
Chase McLaughlin is a bench this week with the uncertainty of this Browns offense. The Browns D/ST is also a bench in Week 7.
