Thursday Night Insight Week 15 - 2021 Fantasy Football

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Chiefs Fantasy Insight

Patrick Mahomes is going against a fantastic Chargers’ pass defense, which may lead to a lot of handoffs. Fortunately, Andy Reid rarely strays from the passing game, so Mahomes should still sling it. It may be a tougher matchup, but you didn’t draft him to bench him. Start him and hope for a career game to help lead you to the next round of the fantasy playoffs.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire saw a season high in rushing attempts in Week 3 when they played the Chargers. I see much of the same this week as we can expect 15-20 carries. With that said, he shouldn’t be any better than a RB2. Darrel Williams is the pass catching back, but is a touchdown dependent emergency start.

Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce are top 5 WRs in Week 15. All other wideouts and tight ends need to remain on your bench. They can only be relevant if they score a touchdown.

In Week 3, the Chiefs D/ST scored just 2 points against the Chargers so sit them again in Week 15. Harrison Butker is an okay start. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it.

Chargers Fantasy Insight

Justin Herbert is the QB3, and you start him regardless of who he goes against. You have to live and die on the Herbert hill.

Austin Ekeler is questionable heading into Week 15, but he logged two limited practices, so he should be good to go Thursday. If he plays, then you start him, but if he’s ruled out, are there any other viable running backs? Justin Jefferson would be a RB3 with RB2 upside just due to the Chargers’ offense offering scoring opportunities. If Ekeler plays there are no other running backs on the roster to play.

Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are both guys you’re plugging into your lineup without a second thought, but Jaylen Guyton and Josh Palmer are guys who are just emergency starters. You’d just be thankful for either to fall into the endzone. Jared Cook is a good streamable tight end this week.

Sit the Chargers D/ST and sit Dustin Hopkins too while you’re at it.
