Monday Night Insight Week 10 - 2021 Fantasy Football

Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers

Rams Fantasy Insight

Matthew Stafford is the QB3 averaging over 22 points per game so far this season. He’s a must start. Expect big things from him against San Fran.

Darrell Henderson and Sony Michel give me completely different vibes in fantasy football. Henderson has been a consistent option that is a must start, while Michel is an emergency start at best. Expect the RB11, Henderson, to drop 20+ points this week.

After signing Odell Beckham Jr., heartbreak hit Los Angeles as Robert Woods suffered a torn ACL in practice the same day. Cooper Kupp is having a historic season, so he’s a set and forget player. That leaves receivers Odell and Van Jefferson. Jefferson is a flex play for me, while Odell is someone I want to bench this week since he’s coming to a new team and offense. He hasn’t learned the playbook yet, so he’s an emergency start at best in Week 10. Tyler Higbee is a high-end TE2, so I have no problems plugging him into my tight end spot in my lineup.

Matt Gay has been a dominant kicker for fantasy managers so continue to trust his leg and start him with confidence. The Rams D/ST is ranked 13th as they’ve been very mediocre for fantasy purposes. They’re a streaming option for me.

49ers Fantasy Insight

Jimmy Garoppolo has been great the past two weeks, but don’t fall for the illusion. Garoppolo is the QB25 on the season. Trey Lance is healthy, and we’ve seen him vulture touchdowns in the redzone before. Jimmy G is a solid start for 2QB/Superflex leagues, but I’d steer clear in 1QB leagues.

Elijah Mitchell, Jeff Wilson and Trey Sermon make up the majority of the 49ers backfield. Both Wilson and Sermon should be on your bench and maybe even the waiver wire. Mitchell, on the other hand, is a great start this week, as he’s getting the important touches in the offense. He gets the redzone carries, and he saw 5 targets last game. He needs to be started if he continues to be used like this.

Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle all should be in your lineups in Week 10. Both Samuel and Kittle are must-starts, while I’m much more hesitant with Aiyuk. He’s a flex player for me, but he’s got a low floor, so beware of that. I expect this game to be high scoring and for the 49ers to play from behind, so San Fran should have a high passing volume.

Robbie Gould isn’t an appealing option and should remain benched this week. Similarly, the 49ers D/ST should be avoided at all costs.
